ELLSWORTH, Kan. -- 06/23/11 -- Ellsworth Correctional Facility inmate Craig Ivancic wipes away a tear as he listens to the visitors share the reasons why they are receiving the services dogs. Ivancic has trained over 55 dogs in his 5 and a half years in the dog training program. Ivancic says the inmates do get attached to the first couple dogs they train and sometimes find it hard to say goodbye but {quote}the good news is you know its going to help somebody.{quote} He added a personal note about how the program has helped him cope his offence, {quote}Through working with these dogs, it's my way of repaying everyone that I hurt.{quote}
