Christine is an award-winning commercial photographer who is passionate about capturing the unique and authentic stories behind brands.
Her versatile visual storytelling background makes her well-qualified for any assignment but she is particularly interested in documenting the mission-driven work of nonprofits and higher education institutions. She specializes in capturing work life culture with a documentary approach.
She began her 18-year professional photography career as a staff photographer for publications such as the Worcester Telegram & Gazette and the Cape Cod Times. In 2018 she launched Salty Broad Studios, a certified woman-owned enterprise and LGBT-owned business, serving clients like Massachusetts Maritime Academy, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and Harvard Medical School. In 2023, she launched her commercial photography brand at ChristineHochkeppel.com
Christine is a teaching artist with the Working Assumptions Foundation facilitating the national work x family documentary project with high school photography students. She also volunteers as a mentor for the EforAll Cape Cod business accelerator. In November 2021, she was recognized as one of Cape Cod’s 40 Under 40 business leaders by Cape & Plymouth Business News. She is a past president and board adviser to the Professional Photographers of Cape Cod and now serves on the board of directors of the MassHire Cape & Islands Workforce Board.
